Collection: Snails

This collection includes easygoing aquatic snails that do well in shrimp tanks and won’t bother adult shrimp or babies. They help keep tanks clean, add interest, and fit naturally into planted aquariums.

These snails generally do best in harder, more alkaline water, similar to typical Neocaridina shrimp parameters. Adequate calcium and mineral content support healthy shell growth, making Neo-style setups an ideal match. They may struggle long-term in very soft, acidic tanks.

Nerite Snails

Nerites are excellent algae eaters, especially on glass, rocks, and hardscape. They don’t reproduce in freshwater, so their numbers stay stable. A great choice if you want algae control without worrying about overpopulation.

Rabbit Snails

Rabbit snails are peaceful, slow-moving snails with a lot of personality. They graze constantly and clean up leftover food. They reproduce slowly and are best suited for established, stable shrimp tanks.

Ramshorn Snails

Ramshorns are hardy, active scavengers that help break down excess food and waste. Their population usually reflects feeding levels, making them easy to manage in shrimp setups.

These snails prefer some water hardness like that found in Neocaridina parameters but some like the ramshorn are find in Caridina parameters.  Keep them in planted tanks, breeding tanks, and nano aquariums. They’re practical, low-risk additions that support a healthy shrimp tank.
