Live Arrival Guarantee
Live Arrival Guarantee
We want to ensure your peace of mind when you order, so we guarantee that you will get the amount of shrimp you ordered or your money back!
We also don’t want shrimp to needlessly die so here is the fine print:
Weather:
If the weather is too extreme for shipping (below 40 or above 90), we will hold your order and reach out to you about the best time to ship. We do occasionally provide heat packs or cold packs but they can sometimes do more harm than good.
In case of deaths:
We add +1 shrimp for every 10 shrimp in the unfortunate event that there are deaths during shipping. If there is more than one death we will reimburse you for the dead shrimp but you must do the following:
- Take 3 clear pics of the dead shrimp in the unopened bag next to the shipping label within 2 hours of the package arriving.
- Send us a message or an email at teacherspetnw@gmail.com with a clear description of what happened to the package to help me diagnose the problem.
- Once we review the details, a refund will be sent to you based on the number of shrimp, this may take up to 48 hours
Shipping
We do not reimburse shipping. We will reimburse you for dead shrimp, or give you a credit for the shrimp and free shipping on a future order.
Rare cases that void the guarantee:
Please note, in some circumstances, our DOA (death on arrival) policy will be voided:
- If the package is unsuccessful delivery on the 1st attempt (I will ship to the address you provided on file)
- The package is left outside for an extended period of time during extreme weather. (Once shipped, a tracking number will be provided, it's your responsibility to take them inside as soon as they are delivered. If the package is left outside more than 2 hrs. from the time of delivery, shipping guarantee will be voided)
- The package is lost due to package theft (If this happens, please contact your local USPS or UPS to file a claim)
While we do our best to ensure our shrimp are comfortable all the way until your front door, once they are in your possessions, it is your responsibility:
- to make sure your water parameters are within the acceptable ranges for that shrimp type. We recommend having a water testing kit ready at all times.
- to make sure to drip acclimate the shrimp fish into your tank correctly. We suggest drip acclimating for at least 1 hr before putting them in your tank.
- to make sure your water doesn't fluctuate too much during the day in their first 7 days.
