These active, translucent shrimp with subtle brown or greenish hues thrive in a wide range of water conditions. Known for their hardiness and peaceful nature, Amano Shrimp can coexist with other non-aggressive tank mates while helping maintain a clean and balanced environment. They also won't interbreed with other shrimp species. Perfect for planted tanks, they actively graze on algae and leftover food, promoting overall tank health.

Somehow the shrimp all made it alive despite packaging. The shrimp were shipped in a single bag that had a loose knot tied in the top. The bag was leaking all over the box and had absloutely no air in it. The packaging material was like a bunch of drier lint or something that was a huge soggy mess when i opened it. The shrimp still seem healthy and are doing good so 4 stars.
Hey there!
We heat seal the bags and tie a knot, so there should be two layers. Not sure where the bag failed but glad they all survived. Since we use breather bags, there's actually no need for air in the bag which is different than a lot of ways fish are shipped! We use insulation around the bags (I think that's what you were referring to as lint) which can be a bit messy but we've found it to be the best way to manage temperatures in the winter. Sorry it was a disappointing experience for you!
