Shrimp Sanctuary: Kallax Ball

Kallax Balls are a long-lasting grazing supplement designed for smaller shrimp colonies (under ~50 shrimp). They promote the growth of natural biofilm an essential food source shrimp rely on 24/7 making them perfect between feedings or while you're away.

Each ball provides a steady source of biofilm for up to 30 days without fouling the water when used as directed. They’re especially helpful in mature tanks where biofilm becomes limited, as well as in newer setups to help establish a stable bioload.

This is a supplemental food, not a replacement for regular feeding with pellets or leaves.

Why It Matters
Shrimp constantly graze, and in small or heavily stocked tanks, biofilm can be depleted quickly. A consistent grazing source helps:

• Support breeding
• Improve shrimplet survival
• Reduce stress and cannibalism

Directions

• Soak in RO or treated tap water for 3 days (change water daily, no air stone)
• Add to tank after soaking (squeeze if floating)
• Replace after 30 days (up to 45 max)
