Add a vibrant splash of emerald green to your freshwater aquarium with our Green Jade Neocaridina Shrimp. Known for their bold color and natural algae-eating behavior, these shrimp are a fantastic addition to any tank. They thrive in planted aquariums, working as a natural clean-up crew by scavenging biofilm, algae, and decaying plant matter. Whether you're new to shrimp-keeping or a seasoned hobbyist, the Green Jade Shrimp is a low-maintenance and easy-to-care-for species.
Key Features:
- Bright Emerald Green Color: Green Jade Shrimp are named for their deep, vibrant green coloring, which stands out beautifully against dark substrates and planted aquariums.
- Ideal for Clean-Up Crews: These shrimp are excellent scavengers, helping keep your tank clean by feeding on algae, biofilm, and organic waste.
- Peaceful & Social: Green Jade Shrimp are non-aggressive, making them ideal for community tanks. They love to be in groups, so we recommend a minimum of 5 shrimp per order.
- Captive-Bred Quality: All of our shrimp are tank-raised, ensuring they are healthy and acclimated to aquarium life.

Care & Tank Setup:
Green Jade Neocaridina Shrimp are ideal for freshwater aquariums with well-maintained water parameters. They thrive in planted tanks with a moderate temperature range and moderate to soft water hardness. To ensure these shrimp reach their full potential, add them to established tanks with stable water conditions.

This is my second time in the shrimp hobby, so I know more than some, less than many. However, I kick myself in retrospect for not finding Teachers Pet just a bit sooner. My original purchase for my most recent setup was through one of the larger outlets for Green Jades - and they were fine - though not great (dull and light colorings). I experience about a 50% survival rate with a cycled tank with parameters WELL within the acceptable range for Neos. At the end of the day, I just wasn’t happy with my purchase. I looked around and found Teachers Pet, and asked some questions. Everything I asked, was responded to within the hour, and I decided to give it a shot. I purchased 12 additional Green Jades on a Sunday night knowing it it would be difficult for him to get the package together before his weekly shipping deadline. Well, on Monday I was notified that my order was going out Tuesday, and I receive a perfectly dry and incredibly well packed package on Thursday. The shrimp? Absolutely beautiful!! Though I ordered 12, I was sent 18!!!! And again, the colorings are all a beautiful deep, dark green. Will absolutely be doing business again, and I encourage anyone reading this to do so as well. OUTSTANDING!!
All came in perfectly healthy, super gorgeous colors, definitely ordering some more scrimps🦐
Just got my order! I don’t see where to leave feedback, so I will do it here. Out of 33 shrimp ordered and being in the mail system for three days there was only one casualty! The shrimpers are halfway through with drip acclimation and I will be adding them to my tank in a few hours.
The shrimp were packed in an amazing manner with them being a little bundle in the middle of shredded packing material - totally snuggled up and protected really well!
Thank you! I can’t wait to see these guys racing around my tank!
100% recommended! I will definitely be purchasing from you again!

I wrote that review the evening that the shrimp arrived. It has been over a week since introducing them into my tank and they are THRIVING! Super busy little shrimpers dutifully snacking on the algae and living harmoniously with the pygmaeus cories and bristlenose pleco!
Super awesome shrimp. Arrived healthy and in time. They look amazing in my tank
