Crystal Golden Shrimp, sometimes referred to as Crystal Gold or Crystal Yellow, are an exciting and uncommon addition to the U.S. Caridina scene. True yellow coloration is rare in Caridina shrimp, which makes this variety especially sought after by experienced hobbyists and breeders.
These shrimp are gaining attention for their rich golden-yellow tones paired with crisp white patterning and the distinctive “no-entry” pattern. The yellow coloration sets Crystal Golden Shrimp apart from more common red, black crystal Caridina varieties.
As one of the newer Caridina shrimp available in the United States, Crystal Golden Shrimp offer hobbyists the opportunity to work with a rare color expression that is still being refined and developed.
Crystal Golden Shrimp are ideal for dedicated Caridina keepers looking to elevate their aquarium with a truly unique variety. Like other soft-water Caridina, they thrive in stable, slightly acidic water and are admired for their peaceful temperament and elegant appearance.

Sponge filters are recommended, as they provide gentle filtration and ample surface area for biofilm growth. Like most Caridina, Crystal Golden Shrimp thrive in mature, clean tanks rich in biofilm and microfauna.
