Cholla wood is excellent for growing biofilm and you'll see your shrimp graze away constantly on the cholla wood in your tank. These are organic and untreated. Because of this we recommend you wash and boil the cholla for at least 20 minutes prior to use. These are thiner than other cholla pieces which we find fit well in our tanks and are perfect for shrimp.
